Windsurfer Beach Chalet 2

We were not happy with our stay at the Windsurfer Chalets. This being our third year staying in the same chalet, we knew what to expect.
We arrived to a laminated note telling us the airconditioning was not working. When speaking to the chalet contact, we were told that since they provided a fan and small portable air unit this was sufficient. Also that it was in the terms and conditions if something wasn't working, its not their responsibility. Only when pressed were we offered compensation. Since we had to leave the doors open, and the screen doors shut to get any relief from the humidity and heat, all of the unit, our bedding, belongings etc were covered in grime, dust and dirt that came in on the wind.
On top of this we found the nest of ants living in the wall of the kitchen. No, not ants coming in from the heat but a nest within the internal wall. No help or explanation or compensation was offered for this.
None of the other 4 units in the row had this experience while we were there.
We ending up leaving after 2 nights. We and the rest of our group will not be rebooking.

Arrived on a 38 degree day to a small sign saying the Aircon was broken! When I questioned this I was told ‘these things happen’. The portable thing we had instead of the advertised ducted AirCon was useless and so noisy. Was offered an extra fan but had to chase the property manager for this and then we reluctantly received one (which made very little difference ) the next afternoon. Also the unit was not very clean and the ants are a big problem. We had to leave the bin outside to try and contain them. Unfortunately would not stay here again and will not be recommending it to anyone. Looking back on previous feedback the same issues have come and obviously are not being addressed.

Fire issue... door lock needs to be replaced, difficulty in opening heavy door..
toaster blew a fuse on our first attempt to use.
Refrigerator.. very unstable, had to find foot of fridge, re attach, move fridge forward as it was sitting on uneven floor, and place newspaper underneath before we could use it. sink dish drainer needed scrubbing and soaking before we were confident to use.. Rooms small no bedside tables, no cupboards in bedrooms..bathroom small.

Fantastic stay. The beach at that time was murky and smelly and we had to drive down to Point Ledge to swim, just wrong timing. The chalet was perfect for us, it had all we need for a comfortable stay and is literally a few steps away from the beach. Cafe next to the chalets have a lot of options. The unit was clean and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen had all we need to cook as all restos are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would be good if they can put blinds on the back door and clothes horse for wet swim wears and towels. Over all, we loved it and looking at going back.

It was VERY basic accommodation for the price. That was ok but the furniture was extremely dirty, especially the couch and chairs, so much that we avoided sitting on them. The bunk beds were unsafe for children to sleep on as the top bunks had no safety rails. We had to remove the mattresses from the top bunks so the kids could sleep safely. On the positive the location was amazing and we enjoyed our visit.

The unit was great. Clean, tidy, organised.

We had a lovely weekend in Lancelin spending time with friends.
Being across the road from the caravan park was great as friends stayed in both venues.
Easy access to the beach and town is in walking distance.

Great location
Fairly clean
Sofa very stained - we had to cover it with a doona to sit
Beds comfortable
Enough kitchen utensils/ crockery for our needs
Asked for a late checkout on the last day - told we would be advised on the day - didn’t hear from manager
Was told DVD player supplied - not available which was very disappointing
Netflix instead
No curtain- privacy across double bed as was shown in the advertisement and was available in other chalets

Great location, easy to deal with

Access to the accommodation was easy with the help from Leah. The fly screen door at the front could not be locked and the fly screen door at the back could not be unlocked. The accommodation was very clean and the beds comfortable. It is clear there has been some updates made. Curtains in the property are looking a little worse for wear with some dirty marks (food maybe). The position is great and that’s what you pay for. Expensive if you compare to accommodation over the road at G’day park. Not sure why an $80+ cleaning fee was required when booking. Hoping we get that repaid as we left the property as clean as we found it.

Great spot close to beach. Great size rooms. Check in easy.
We had room 2. However at check in we were unable to cook dinner as the oven and drill did not work. Only one element in on the stove worked. Very hard to cook with dinner for 4! Maintenance never arrived to fix during stay as mentioned.

We had a great stay! Units were actually better than we expected and what the pics online showed. Conveniently located with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

celebrating my sons birthday with a few of his mates was so easy and effortless. thank you windsurfer Beach Chalet. Awesome location, very clean and plenty of room to unwind and recharge after a day at the beach. Would be the perfect place to stay with a group as we could all have our own chalet but eat together in the large bbq area.

Chalet was clean and well presented though the TV remote needs new batteries so we were unable to use it and the barbecue was unclean and had no control on the gas knobs resulting in my husband being singed when using the barbie.

We were only in Lancelin for a night but this property would be great for a longer stay. It is ideally located close to the beach and there’s a cafe next door.
The property was very clean and it was a bonus to have linen supplied.

Was a nice little chalet. Clean and tidy. Perfect for what we needed. Nice cafe next door. So close to the beach.
