Windsurfer Beach Chalet 4

Thank you for the opportunity to stay once again at Windsurfer 4 chalet. I thought I’d just bring a few things to your attention. Please view these comments NOT as a complaint but suggestions to maintain expected standards and so improve the stay for future guests.
•We vacated by 10am this morning (Saturday, February 15th). I am writing this email from my home in Perth now as the WiFi in the Windsurfer chalet is totally ineffective.
•The front doors need replacing. It may be easy for cleaning staff to open/close the doors but for a visitor not used to the difficulty has a lot of trouble trying to open/close and lock the door. In fact, the lock/handle on the main glass door is broken.
•We paid $100 for cleaning and yet when we arrived the main floors were dirty and I had to wash plates and cups before we could use them. Your notes asked to clear the dishwasher but there is no dishwasher. I had to also clean the top of the stove. Perhaps the cleaners were a bit hurried in this instance cleaning before our arrival last Thursday. Creating a cleaning checklist may be a useful way of ensuring visitors arrive to a thoroughly clean chalet.
•There are no tongs or an egg slice (apart from one suitable for a BBQ) amongst the kitchen utensils.
•The oven does not work or there is difficulty getting it to work and/or there are no advice/instructions on how to easily use the oven.
•Staying at the venue is no longer a quiet relaxing holiday ever since the caravan park across the road was renovated etc. We had children playing and screaming very loudly across the road on the “jump ballon” until 10.30pm last night and again at 6.20am this morning (Saturday). The sign on the playground says the playground is open from 9am – 6pm. Feedback should be given to the caravan park concerning this as it detracts from the peacefulness of your accommodation. Unbelievable that you could charge $386.00 a night for this place. Opening the door and the smell of old boot hits you hard as you take in the vista of the old laminated table and ex office chairs complete with the stained sofa. Not be outdone, the kitchen completes the illusion of style with the rangehood bolted straight on to the wall without the need for any bother of overheads or disguise of the vent pipe. A property that could comfortably command a $150 dollar a night tariff completely destroyed by additional booking fee $90.00 and cleaning fee of $100.00. The smell was there all night, we were out of there at 8.00 the next morning. There must be better value.

Just a one nighter this time.
Unit had easy access, great location and nearly all the amenities I needed. Sadly the wifi was useless and didn’t even reach the room. But I’m sure that’s something they can fix.
Very comfy. I’ll be back for sure.

The unit was ok, the curtain separating the master needs to be replaced and the unit would benefit from a good spring clean, couches and chairs need a clean. The sliding door needs attention, very hard to slide. Great location.

The help Leah gave us was amazing with her directions and the facilities were great. A lovely spot and great location.

Its a pity about the smell of aseaweed it was quite overpowering

Our stay at windsurfer beach chalet was good. However the floors was very dirty and needed desperate clean/mop. Secondly the smell of the chalet when we first entered was very strong and off putting. Once property was opened up with some fresh air it was okay. Thirdly there was quite alot of spiders and webs along ceilings. We actually found a spider in our childs bed. Overall the location and vibe around the area was awesome.

With the beach only seconds from our accommodation we were very happy with the relaxed and comfortable chalet with everything we could need. It was presented very well.

Had a great time. Location was perfect. Court yard was a 1min stroll to the beach. Easy to get the keys and had everything we needed.

Very dusty inside. Average space, big room with curtain dividing living space. No aircon. I would not stay here again.

Nice clean room, great location. Only issue was that there were fans listed in the included amenities but when we arrived they were not there. Temperature was up around 46 degrees so made for a hot few nights.

A great position near the water. It was wonderful taking in the sunset on the beach only a short walk away. The unit was clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed. The cafe right next door had great coffee. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
